Opening round tonight — NFL DRAFT

It's not just the Cleveland Browns. There's a cast of thousands who are sent to the combine and we do TV before, during and after the workouts.

Seems as though from about the first or second week in January, everybody has been asking who are the Cowboys going take with their 19th pick in the first round.

Tonight's round one is certain be to be compelling.

Besides the uncanny resemblance and painstaking attention to detail, Baker Mayfield has the same type of edgy attitude that Brett Favre played with. GM Brandon Beane says it didn't happen by accident.

It's been 35 years to the day that the Bills drafted Jim Kelly.

According to recent #NFL #Trade rumors, the Cleveland Browns are involved in conversations over one of their top picks. The Giants at two have always been viewed as a target spot for quarterback-needy teams, but moving up from to No. 2 might be too much of a lift for the Bills or other teams.

There is a belief that the Giants could choose either Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, USC quarterback Sam Darnold or NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb.

From the teams aforementioned, the Browns are the ones under the biggest uncertainty in terms of picking a franchise quarterback; this is something that they have failed miserably for the past the decade. Darnold has been their pick since January and he will remain the pick on draft night.

What if the quarterbacks disappear off the draft board early?

Suddenly though, the Jets might not even have the chance to take Mayfield as there is a building notion that the Browns could take him at No. 1. Green Bay is a solid organization with an elite quarterback and a tradition of winning - he could do far worse, even in the middle of the first round. The problem is while there are a lot of good receivers in this year's class. The natural assumption, I get it, is [that] they're moving up to get a quarterback, yada-yada. We do that process with every position.

Still, we could see a few more during the 2018 NFL Draft. As evidence-the Bears move up one spot a year ago to get Mitchell Trubisky. Rounds two and three are Friday, and rounds four through seven are Saturday.

A league source told ESPN that the former Oklahoma quarterback can not be ruled out as a possibility for the top overall selection. Who would argue with that deal? Will the Kansas City Chiefs trade up into the first? Now instead of 120-140, I have to get to 350 players by the first week of April.

Also, how can you not love a quarterback that goes to extreme detail to replicate a famous Brett Favre draft photo?

FuboTV: Though it doesn't have ESPN, the "Fubo Premier" channel package includes both NFL Network and Fox (live in select markets). The Austin native won't make the trek to Arlington, as the event is happening at the AT&T Stadium.
