The 30-year-old rapper was released from a state correctional institution in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, after serving five months for violating probation on a almost decade-old gun and drug case.

Brinkley sentenced him to two to four years in prison for parole violations, including two arrests, one of which was on a reckless driving charge while shooting a music video in NY. But after a judge denied Mill bail, his plea was moved to the state's Supreme Court.

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill has been released on bail after an order from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

"To the Philly District Attorney's office, I'm grateful for your commitment to justice".

Meek Mill said a prayer after learned he had been freed on bail while watching the news in his jail cell on Tuesday, and told Page Six, "I'm in a daze, its unbelievable".

She added: "He continues to be a danger to himself based upon a history of continuous use of illegal drugs, and is an increased and greater flight risk because he already has been sentenced to a term in state prison and gave false information to authorities when he was arrested in St. Louis, Missouri".

Many speculated that Williams might appear at the Tuesday night game, especially after 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin said that he would be picking up the rapper from prison.

But in a hearing last week, prosecutors said his conviction should be vacated because of questions about the credibility of his arresting officer.

A court now has 60 days to decide whether Meek Mill will face a new trial but prosecutors could also choose to completely drop the charges. "This is a guy I've known for years, and through those years of this relationship, the talk of probation has always been a distant conversation because it was b--t", Hart said.

"When you know that you're innocent, it's tough to sit through something that you know you didn't do".

"I think the good with the situation is that he now has a platform".

The announcement of his freedom was made by 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, a close advocate of the rapper as he went through the process of his appeal. Mill was in prison since November because of a controversial parole violation. I can't wait to see my son, its his birthday on May 13 and he had been asking how we were going to celebrate.
