Bandai Namco earlier this year unveiled a remastered version of Dark Souls, the spiritual successor to 2009's Demon's Souls.

Beyond that, the announcement went on to say that the original Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on Steam will be removed from the store on May 9, 2018. If you own Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on Steam, you'll get a 50 percent loyalty discount toward your purchase of Dark Souls Remastered.

Meanwhile, the Xbox One incentive for pre-ordering the jazzed-up version of Bandai Namco's dark-fantasy, hard-as-nails action-adventure, is that they can pre-load the game in advance - ahead of the May 25 release. It was also originally planned to be released on May 25th but the developer From Software is taking a little more time to get the game to run a little smoother on the handheld console and will release it in the summer.

What we're trying to say is that Nintendo Switch owners who haven't yet been able to experience the game - or just want to take it with them wherever they may roam - are going to want to add this remaster to their wishlist.
