'Stupid Question!' Trump Tells Reporter Asking about Michael Cohen Pardon

President Donald Trump snapped at a reporter for asking if he plans on pardoning Michael Cohen during an Oval Office photo-op with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday. Then, he tried to move to another subject.

'Stupid question!' the president said. Federal investigators also are investigating a $130,000 payment that Cohen said he made to keep Stormy Daniels quiet about an affair she said she had with Trump in 2006.

People close to Trump keep suggesting that Cohen is likely to "flip" - or cooperate with the government by providing information on others in exchange for a lesser punishment.

She referred future questions to Cohen's and Trump's lawyers. Karl, the Chief White House correspondent for ABC News, asked Trump if he would consider pardoning Cohen.

On Saturday, Trump lashed out at the New York Times on Twitter and said, "Sorry, I don't see Michael doing that despite the terrible Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!"

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has told President Trump he is not the target of the investigation into Cohen. "Sorry, I don't see Michael doing that despite the frightful Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!"

'Michael is a businessman for his own account/lawyer who I have always liked & respected, ' he continued.
