Andersen superb as Maple Leafs beat Bruins to force Game 7

Luckily for the Maple Leafs, Andersen didn't feel much like letting anything else past him on Monday, stopping the rest of the 32 shots he saw on the night. Ten people were killed and 15 injured when a rented van jumped onto a crowded sidewalk, 10 miles from the Air Canada Centre.

April 23, 2018, Toronto, Ontario, CAN: Toronto Maple Leafs center Tomas Plekanec celebrates with teammates in the third period after scoring a goal as Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask reacts in game six of the first round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Air Canada Centre.

None of them scored, although Krejci did pick up the primary assist on Jake DeBrusk's first-period goal.

Both goalies were on their game in the first as the clubs combined for 27 shots on goal, including 17 from Boston.

The victor of the series will meet the Tampa Bay Lightning in the next round. Facing elimination in Game 5, the Leafs saw their three-goal lead cut to one by the Bruins' offense but Frederik Andersen pulled through for Toronto in a big way.

Bergeron paired the two cities as he spoke of how Boston had been similarly affected by the Marathon Bombing in 2013.

After a scoreless first period, DeBrusk put the Bruins ahead 1-0 only 1:02 into the second, beating Andersen with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle. Nylander sent a rebound past Rask at 1:37 after Nikita Zaitsev threw the puck in from the blue line. The Bruins challenged the play for goalie interference, and replays showed the forward knocked the stick out of Rask's hands as he cruised through the crease just before scoring.

Marner backhanded in the go-ahead goal through Rask's five hole with 6:35 left in the middle period.
