Meesha Shafi receives support from #MeToo campaigner Rose McGowan

After Pakistani singer, Meesha Shafi and other women came up with sexual harassment allegations against singer-actor Ali Zafar, now it is singer Momina Mustehsan who has opened up about being harassed. I am a woman and I would never allow wrong to any woman. I pray that people will stand by women who have been violated and victimized.

Journalist Maham Javaid also accused Ali Zafar, as he tried to kiss her cousin sister many years ago.

"However, I stand witness to this particular "Jam" late previous year that Meesha mentions in her interview with The News", she added. "I was jamming with my band in Lahore and the organisers insisted that he was trying to get in touch". All I can say is that this particular statement that she makes here is rather odd. It would be great if this important movement isn't taken for granted or misused for personal reasons, stealing limelight from real causes. Earlier, singer Meesha Shafi alleged Zafar of sexual harassment. "Rest, time will tell!" Aqsa Ali took to social media to write that she was shocked by Meesha's allegations. "Without hard evidence, I would take everything she says with a ton of salt".

"Pakistani actor-singer Zafar who has acted in several Bollywood movies like Dear Zindagi, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tere Bin Laden and Chashme Baddoor denied the allegation and wrote, I categorically deny any and all claims of harassment lodged against me by Ms Shafi". "I would want to ask Ali Zafar and all other men one question: do you think you have ever, knowingly or unknowingly, violated a woman in any way or form? If you have (no one is an angel) I request you to acknowledge your fault, apologize unconditionally, learn from the mistakes, and become a better human being". Acknowledging McGowan's support, Shafi indirectly thanked her as well, Pakistan's The Express Tribune reported. She tweeted, "So @itsmeeshashafi's courageous sharing of her experience reminded me of a story about @AliZafarsays from many many years ago, when Ali Zafar tried to kiss my cousin and pull my cousin into a restroom with him".
