Adding some additional drama to her big return, Underwood did not walk the red carpet at this year's ACM Awards.

But viewers couldn't spot any differences during the telecast when Underwood made her heavily promoted debut to perform her new single, "Cry Pretty".

Carrie told her fans earlier this year that the accident left her "not quite looking the same", but fans didn't notice a change to her face after watching her performance.

The singer receiving a roaring standing ovation, and struggled to control her emotions.

"There is also another part of the story that I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up", she wrote.

Morgane previously explained she had a friend who worked with Chris and she would hang out in their office hoping to meet him.

On April 10, Underwood announced to her fan club "Cry Pretty's" release and did confirm that she would indeed premiere the track on the ACM Awards.

A few weeks before her big comeback performance, Underwood went on a social media blitz that teased her upcoming activities. She took to Instagram on Saturday to show her full face in the image taken during rehearsal for the Sunday gig.
