Call of Duty Battle Royale Rumored for Black Ops IIII

The internet website Polygon has apparently received some sort of news that there will be no Black Ops 4 campaign in the next Call of Duty Black Ops game. However, that's not what the rumor stated, and until we hear more, I'm going to assume this is something we should all swallow with a grain of salt. Since then, the campaigns of the games have been second fiddle to the cool multiplayer toys players could get their hands on. As a result, the team made a decision to shift focus toward the multiplayer and Zombies modes that have defined the subseries since it began in 2010. "We look forward to revealing Black Ops 4 on May 17th". Though at the cost of a single-player campaign is truly weird.

According to anonymous sources who spoke to Polygon and CharlieIntel have both claimed that instead of the usual single-player campaign, the Black Ops 4 Battle Royale mode will accompany the usual multiplayer and zombie modes.

Activision and Treyarch may be discarding long-standing Call of Duty tradition with the upcoming Black Ops 4. While Activision hasn't commented on this other than to say that it will have more to say during the May 17 reveal for the game, it appears that the single-player campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 wouldn't be completed in time. One source said Treyarch has since focused Black Ops 4's development on expanding multiplayer and the series' popular Zombies mode.

One reason why the game won't have a single player campaign is mainly because it won't be ready in time for the game's slightly earlier release date of October 12th, 2018.
