Stabbing on BU's Campus, Suspect At Large

A college freshman was stabbed to death on his State University of NY campus Sunday night in what officials said was a targeted attack.

Jonathan Ross, superintendent of the Blind Brook school district in Westchester County, told the Journal News that Souza graduated a year ago from Blind Brook High School in Rye Brook, where he was a standout soccer player.

"Law enforcement believes the attack was not a random act and that the victim was targeted", university vice president Brian Rose said.

The school, one of the four university centres in ny's sprawling nation faculty strategy, canceled classes Monday as a result of the "tragic occasion".

On March 11, Binghamton nursing student Haley Anderson, 22, of Westbury, Long Island, was found murdered at an off-campus residence.

University officials said they would release more information about the student's family was notified.

VESTAL (WBNG) - The latest on the investigation into a deadly stabbing at Binghamton University Sunday night.

The first alert said the stabbing occurred in Windham Hall and that the suspect ran away from the area.

The suspect, who fled on foot, was described as a light-skinned male wearing dark trousers and a dark hoodie, according to police.

Investigators from multiple agencies have been interviewing numerous people throughout the night.

This was the second slaying of a student this semester. Counseling was being offered to students and staff.

The Broome County district attorney's office is now now seeking to possess this suspect came back from Nicaragua to stand test.
