Jazz rookie (toe) set to play Game 2 vs. Thunder, report says

In the fourth quarter of the 116-108 loss, Mitchell got his left foot stepped on by OKC's Corey Brewer and had to go to the locker room.

After the game, Mitchell said the injury was "nothing major".

"I was just limping, and they saw me limping and thought I needed to come out, "but I was just being a baby".

He originally felt soreness so he had an X-ray performed during the game that came back negative followed by the MRI. While the Jazz aren't quite yet ready to clear him for Wednesday's contest, it seems likely that Mitchell will ultimately play through the injury, especially considering the Jazz lost the first game of the series.

The Big 3 has been able to play up to tough challenges all season with two wins against both the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, and that trend was no different in the game on Sunday against the Jazz.

"Don't really know right now".

His status for Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder will be determined Tuesday morning ahead of their matchup.

"I just stubbed my toe", Mitchell said after the game. "I feel pretty good but we'll see how I feel tomorrow".
