Daytime highs will reach into the mid-40s, the forecast showed. Yes, very cold for April 17th!

The weather will resemble February rather than mid-April Tuesday with snow showers and flurries visiting the Valley on occasion.

Wednesday will feature a brief return to some milder afternoon high temperatures, although it won't be anything too warm.

Taking a look back at this week a year ago in Boone, high temperatures were in the upper 60s and lower 70s throughout the week with the exception of April 20 where the high was 59 degrees. At least that's about 10 degrees warmer compared to Tuesday.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.

Forecasters also said accumulating snow will be possible tonight into Wednesday in northeast Nebraska.

Drier weather will move into the area for Wednesday and Thursday. Unsettled and colder Thursday.

Areas just west of Marquette appeared to be hit hardest in the Upper Peninsula, with 18.5 inches in Ishpeming and 17.5 inches in Negaunee, according to NWS.

Cloudy, a chance of rain and snow showers and high temperatures in the upper 30s are in the forecast today for Auburn and Cayuga County. Friday looks tranquil. We expect a modest warming trend and some sunshine for the weekend. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. High temperatures should continue to slowly moderate next Monday with low to a few mid 60s expected.
