10 things you need to know about Manchester City's Premier League triumph

League leaders Manchester City, who beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 on Saturday, raised their points to 87 in standings.

Manchester City are now champions of the English Premier League for the 2017/2018 season. If Jose Mourinho-coached Man United can win all of their remaining matches, they can reach maximum 86 points in total.

"I trust in my work, that is for sure, I have no reason not to trust".

Mourinho branded his players "masters in complication" in the aftermath of their defeat to the Baggies.

United's loss to West Brom hands City the title, and after the match Mourinho gave his reaction to this development; one that has been a very long time.

In the press conference before United's league game against West Brom, the Portuguese simply said there was nothing he could do about the current situation.

City just need three points to claim the title and will look to clinch it with a win at home to Swansea City next Sunday.

West Brom's victor arrived in the 73rd minute when Chris Brunt's corner was nodded back into the danger area by Nemanja Matic, under pressure from Craig Dawson, and Rodriguez stooped to head beyond David de Gea.

They signed some lad called Lindelof that was meant to be good, they had the best goalkeeper on the planet too. Eight titles are eight titles and three Premier Leagues are three Premier Leagues. Everything was slow, everything was one more touch, one more flick, one more trick, one more turn, ball lost and no continuity or fluidity in our football.

"I don't know if I was the first or if I was the second or the third, but I congratulated them face-to-face when I had the chance to do it".

Jose Mourinho has stressed that Manchester United will not "do anything crazy" in the transfer market this summer in a bid to close the gap on Manchester City. "It was not done even if we won".

"They won the title because they were the best team".

"Come on City! Champions!" "We couldn't play fast, we couldn't think fast, everything was complicated".

According to Red Rants, Ander said: "I am going to fulfil the year that I have left but I don't know if I will renew". We didn't create enough chances to score and West Brom were fighting for survival.
