EA Confirms Battlefront II Will Start Selling Premium In-Game Currency Again

EA Confirms Battlefront II Will Start Selling Premium In-Game Currency Again

There will be more than 50 skins added to the game, including some new looks tied to the Endor content. If you love the Ewoks, you may want to keep an eye on the new update because you will again visit the forest moon of Endor. You won't be able to buy Star Cards with Crystals. Well, EA apparently means it with its announcement that while it'll be bringing microtransactions back to Star Wars Battlefront 2, they'll be for cosmetic items only. You can earn Credits through in-game activity that can be redeemed for Appearances too.

Crystals in Star Wars Battlefront II are just a quick way for fans to unlock Appearances, and these will include Endor Leia and Endor Han.

Players might remember that the original version of Battlefront 2 by Pandemic Studios had a "Hunt" mode, where players could take control of the native species of planets like Endor, Kashyyyk, and Naboo. It is the Ewoks' task to eliminate the Stormtroopers; the troopers must withstand the attack until evacuation.

EA didn't exactly generate a lot of good faith with the progression system in Star Wars: Battlefront II, particularly since it seems to be heavily weighed in favour of people who purchased loot boxes with real money. Armed with an arsenal of weapons as well as flashlights to cut through the darkness, players must hold back the Ewok ambush if they have a hope of surviving until an extraction team can arrive. Players will be able to purchase those new appearances, as EA calls them, either with in-game credits or crystals.

I'll admit, as a kid Return of the Jedi was my favorite Star Wars movie, and I have kind of a soft spot for the Ewoks.

We can confirm that Season Two will be coming in May, and you'll get more details a little closer to the time. Thankfully, Star Wars Battlefront II begins their community turnaround by taking risks with their first big community update.
