Tonya Harding Fully Expects Nancy Kerrigan Comparisons on Dancing With the Stars

"You know, I know that there's going to be comparisons, and that's perfectly fine", she told us, though she's got bigger concerns when it comes to partner Sasha Farber and his new wife, fellow pro and partner to Major League Baseball star Johnny Damon, Emma Slater.

Tonya Harding has been confirmed as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars: Athletes.

In recent months, Harding has been featured on an ABC News primetime special; attended the Golden Globes awards and sat in the audience as Allison Janney, who won a Golden Globe for playing Harding's mother in "I, Tonya", thanked Harding; given an interview to The New York Times, which carried the headline, "Tonya Harding Would Like Her Apology Now", and included Harding saying she moved from OR to Washington because "Oregon was buttheads"; been a guest on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime show; and more.

National Basketball Association legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 70, will team up with the show's reigning champion Lindsay Arnold. The figure skaters both competed at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in February, earning bronze medals in the team event.

The season is only four weeks long and there are 10 teams.

"I think I really hope I'm not shy", joked the outspoken Adam. Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Kristi Yamaguchi, Hines Ward, and Donald Driver are among the athletes who have won the competition in its 13-year history.

While these athletes have yet to hit the dance floor, our early prediction for who has the best chance of making it to the finals is Rippon, Nagasu, Norman or Ogunbowale.

Josh Norman, 30, of the Washington Redskins will cha-cha with Sharna Burgess.

Luge athlete Chris Mazder has been paired with Witney Carson.

Season 26 of Dancing With the Stars premieres April. 30 on ABC.
