Apple announces new red iPhone 8 and 8 Plus for Bono's charity

Apple kicked off PRODUCT (RED) with special edition versions of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus past year, and the product remained available until the release of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X in the fall. The phones now feature a black front panel instead of the white front panel. The second model, Red colour iPhone 8 plus with 64GB variant is selling at the price of Rs 77,560 and another variant with 256GB internal storage is priced at Rs 91,110. The red iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, will still have the same wireless charging capabilty, fast mobile processor, and improved camera features. The 256GB RED iPhone 8 Plus will be available at $949.

According to the owner and operator of iOutlet fix, Michael Oberdick said that every iPhone display has a small microchip and this helps Apple to detect the third-party replacement displays.

In line with this, Apple revealed that the iPhone X is getting a red leather folio. The red iPhone 8 models cost the same as the gold, grey, and silver versions, at $699 for the smaller model and $799 for the Plus. Since 2006, Apple has donated $160 million to the Global Fund through limited edition iPods, iPhones and accessories. But the scarlet shade is even more gorgeous in glass than it was in the aluminum red that Apple debuted with the iPhone 7 a year ago. Unsurprisingly, Apple, as before, seems to have found a way to discourage that practice by disabling touch functionality on iPhone 8 units running the latest iOS 11.3 whose screens have been repaired and replaced by unauthorized third-parties. The Global FUND HIV/AIDS runs various programs in African countries with a focus on eliminating the transfer of HIV from mothers to their babies.

According to an Apple insider, some unauthorized screen repairs in iPhone X as well as iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have resulted in ambient light sensor malfunction. The new handsets are available for pre-order now, and would hit the store shelves on April 13th in the U.S. and a few other countries. A previous iOS update killed touch functionality on iPhone 7s with third party screens but a later update resolved the issue.

While customers in countries like Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom and U.S. will get to new phones by Friday, April 13, Malaysia will join Brazil, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE and other countries and regions in later April.
