Google Plans Gmail Redesign

With how robust the Google Calendar has become, having quick access to your appointments and other obligations from within your email is a welcome feature that may even enable the new Gmail design to be your one-stop-shop for all things productivity.

After reading TechCrunch's story, a Twitter user reached out and provided the publication with the sketch shown above after reportedly seeing a Google employee playing with the new design on public transport.

Google has begun sending an email out to G Suite administrators alerting them that a redesign of Gmail is on the horizon.

You'll be able to snooze emails so that they reappear in your inbox hours or days later.

Meanwhile, Google in a message to G Suite admins notes "several new features". He described it as a hybrid of Gmail and Inbox. Since then, the design has likely changed and comes amid rumors of Material Design 2 and a broader refresh for Google's products. This is a good way to clean your inbox if you can't reply to a specific email just yet. Native offline support is also part of the update as well. The company recommends "testing any critical Chrome extensions before more broadly enabling the new Gmail experience within your organization".

According to the search giant, it will make available an Early Access Program for both G Suite and Gmail users with standard personal accounts.
