Details on Why Ronda Rousey Didn't Appear on Raw

While it's obviously disappointing for anyone who bought tickets for the Raw events to see Rousey, her absence can actually be a blessing for the company in one way.

With Wrestlemania 34 fast approaching, Monday Night RAW this week progressed with storylines for the show of immortals.

"No one demanded a written resignation from me for judo and I don't really think the same thing is necessary for fighting", she continued.

With her UFC career seemingly behind her, Rousey is happy to start her new career with WWE where she will make her professional wrestling debut at WrestleMania 34 on April 8.

"WWE, I describe it as a live TV show about a wrestling tournament where everyone does their own stunts", Rousey said.

Before committing herself to scripted violence, Rousey was the greatest real fighter of her generation.

That said, Rousey did say that if a stiff shot occurs she won't hesitate to punch back.

"I can't think of the last time I was so excited for anything, [where] I'm like really looking forward to it", Rousey said. She became the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion and went on a 12-fight undefeated streak before losing to Holly Holm in 2015.

Since the loss to Nunes, Rousey's career has been in limbo.

However, by not putting her foot down and definitively saying she's officially done with MMA, Rousey kept the door open for a dramatic move from the WWE back to the UFC. However, on a night where Roman Reigns called out Brock Lesnar for no-showing Monday Night Raw, Rousey was not at the show either.
