Apart from senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Gopal Rai, the meeting was also attended by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Ajay Maken and his party colleague Arvinder Singh Lovely.

Replying to the tweet, Kejriwal wrote, "I urge u to kindly raise sealing issue strongly in current session of Parliament and force BJP to take all steps necessary to stop sealing n open sealed shops".

Hitting out at the BJP, the deputy chief minister said it was unfortunate that the saffron party's representatives did not attend the all-party meeting called to find a solution to the sealing issue which has caused problems to the city's traders.

Sisodia also said that the BJP does not want to find a solution to the sealing drive.

To protest against the ongoing sealing drive by the municipal corporations in the national capital, the traders in Delhi have chose to observe a "trade bandh" on Tuesday. Jain is one of the eyewitness' who was present at the time of the assault.

Talking to KNN, Narendra Madan, Chairman of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said that the traders in Delhi will go on strike against the sealing drive by calling off a bandh today.

"Stop the drama of allegations and counter-allegations over sealing in Delhi". Markets like Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Lajpat Nagar, Amar Colony, Khan Market, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Karol Bagh, Sadar Bazaar, Kamla Nagar and several other prominent commercial places are likely to remain shut today. "Due to BJP-AAP collusion and fake fights, traders are facing a lot of difficulties", the Congress president said in a tweet.

The Monitoring Committee was set up by the Supreme Court in 2006. "After this affidavit the Supreme Court expressed its concern over the intentions of Delhi Government and revived its Monitoring Committee to curb the growing menace of unauthorized construction, " he said.
