Packers to sign Jimmy Graham

Two of the Seahawks' four tight ends, Graham and Luke Willson, entered free agency this month.

Schefter reports the Packers will sign Graham to a three-year deal.

NFL Network's Mike Garofolo says, however, Green Bay wants Graham to be a Packer.

Graham's true value to the Seahawks a year ago was seen in the team-best 10 touchdowns he hauled in.

The Packers received virtually no production from their tight ends last season. It was the fourth time the veteran scored double-digit touchdowns and the first time since 2014. Swoopes played two snaps in Seattle's regular season finale against the Cardinals, but otherwise has not seen much playing time. But he didn't catch another TD the rest of his first season and had just one 100-yard-plus receiving game (140 against Carolina) before his season ended in week 11 when he suffered a patella tendon injury against the Steelers.

In three seasons with the Seahawks, Graham played in 45 games, recorded 176 receptions for 2,104 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Green Bay should focus on spending money on the defense and fill the tight end void via the draft.

The tight end position with the Packers has been one of a lack of productivity, particularly in 2017 with the combination of Martellus Bennett, Lance Kendricks and Richard Rodgers.
