CM Punk Reveals When He'll Be Fighting Next

CM Punk revealed via Twitter on Monday afternoon that he will make a grand return to the Octagon at UFC 225.

The UFC has not announced a fight for Punk, but president Dana White previously has said he intends to give the 39-year-old "another shot". The fight ended in the first round, with Punk forced to tap to a rear-naked choke.

"June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my handsome wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team", Punk wrote.

Jackson lost to Mickey Gall, who went onto submit Punk in the first round in his only appearance thus far at UFC 203 in Cleveland back in 2016. Whittaker, who met Rosenberg at a previous Wrestlemania event, proposed to his girlfriend Thursday, with the help of CM Punk. That just so happens to be the date of UFC 225 in Punk's home town of Chicago. Punk has no amateur MMA experience to speak of and he does train with Roufusport out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

June 9 is when UFC 225 is set to take place in Chicago, Punk's hometown. After the ECW experiment ended, Punk's career took off as he would win a total of five world championships, including a 434-day reign with the WWE Championship in 2011. Punk responded by dropping a hint about his next fight. While the UFC has not confirmed the news, it seems likely that if Punk is to fight again, UFC 225 will be the card. Jackson did compete once as an amateur MMA fighter, losing via unanimous decision to Nick Felder at Lonestar Beatdown 12 in September 2009.
