'American Idol' night 2: Who isn't going to Hollywood?

American Idol returned in style this week with the help of host Ryan Seacrest and new American Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.

Season two finalist and CT resident Kimberley Locke gives us a whole recap. And celebrity judge Katy Perry has found herself in an ongoing property dispute with a group of aging Los Angeles nuns who for some time now have waged a legal battle with the pop star over her purchase of their former convent.

Auditions were held in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Orlando.

The show was the most-viewed program of the night, earning a 2.3 rating in the crucial category of 18-49-year-olds and outpacing ABC's projection in that age bracket.

Nineteen-year-old Benjamin Glaze got more than he bargained for when he appeared on American Idol. The new episode will be telecast on ABC from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm EST on Monday (6:30 am to 8:30 am IST on Tuesday).

And not just any kiss, the "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker gave Glaze his first kiss after the adorkable electronic store cashier admitted he had never before kissed a girl. Glaze nervously agreed, and when he leaned in for a second cheek-kiss, Perry turned her face so their lips connected, which surprised Glaze so much he fell backward.
