Tim McGraw collapsed on stage Sunday night due to dehydration

His wife, fellow country superstar Faith Hill, told the audience he was dehydrated, and his representative added that he "will be fine".

Local entertainment journalist Eddie Rowley tweeted that a publicist said McGraw was treated on site and will be fine. "I apologize, but I made the decision that he can not come back out onstage". "He and Faith thank fans for their love and support and look forward to seeing their Irish friends soon", the spokesperson said, according to radio station K92.3 of Orlando, Fla.

Tim who is the son of baseball player Tug McGraw has enjoyed an illustrious music career which has seen him win a string of American Music Awards and Country Music Awards.

Country singer Tim McGraw collapsed on stage during a performance in Ireland on Sunday, Rolling Stone reports.

McGraw had only played in London on Friday night and Glasgow on Saturday evening as part of the three-city Country to Country tour.

McGraw will have several weeks to rest up, as his next scheduled show is a Richmond, Virginia, gig on May 31, when the Soul2Soul tour resumes its North American run. McGraw wrote on Twitter, tagging other major retailers including Walmart, Kroger and LL Bean.

Recently, McGraw made headlines as being one of the few mainstream country artists to voice support for gun control. "I promise you, we'll be back".
