Oppo F7 with display notch teased ahead of March 26 launch

Well, Vivo's sibling OPPO (both are owned by BBK Electronics) is going to launch the OPPO F7 in India, and, not-so-surprisingly, it too will be featuring a notch. Oppo has taken to Twitter to tease the upcoming flagship smartphone in India alleged to be the successor to the Oppo F5, which was launched in November previous year. Focusing on the Oppo F7 in the front, we can see the smartphone having a Full View display along with a Notch same as the iPhone X. Apart from that, the Oppo F7 will be released in India on March 27.

Opp has yet to release a new smartphone for this year in India which is one of the biggest smartphone markets for the company other than China.

The latter has been subjected to several rumors, including a 6.28-inch display and the notch. The picture showcases apparently an Indian cricketer, likely the new brand ambassador, holding the new smartphone.

Details on the chipset are scarce, however, given the design similarities with the R15, it is possible to have the Oppo F7 running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC, GSMArena reports.

While the tweet does not reveal any further information regarding the Oppo F7, the company had posted a tweet earlier the same day with the launch date as March 26. The report was also accompanied by a render of the smartphone.

Oppo is launching a new smartphone which will have a iPhone X like notch and will be a full screen display in the model of F7. The Oppo F7 will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB port. A highlight of the phone is its 25-megapixel front camera. The front camera will also likely feature real-time HDR, an enhanced beauty mode and AR stickers.
