Nawazuddin Siddiqui opens up on accusations of spying on estranged wife

After his biography causing all sorts on controversy, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has ended up in trouble again.

"We have summoned Nawazuddin, his lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui and wife Sheeba to find out who is the one who ordered to obtain CDR illegally".

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been called to record a statement by Thane crime branch in Maharshtra. "We have issued summons to him, but he has failed to appear before us for investigation", Thane Crime Branch Senior Police Inspector Nitin Thakare said on 9 February, Friday.

The 43-year-old actor took to Twitter where he criticised the media for questioning him about his involvement in the scam, when he accompanied his daughter, Shora, to her school for an exhibition.

The Maharashtra police on Thursday revealed that they had summoned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, his lawyer, Rizwan Siddiqui in association with a call details record scam. "To my surprise, the media had questions about some random allegations on me #Disgust", tweeted Nawaz and he even posted some pictures with his daughter showcasing getting engrossed in the project with her dad.

The award-winning actor was allegedly accused of spying on his wife as his name cropped up after police nabbed 11 persons, mainly private detectives, involved in a scam.

The police on a tip-off in January had caught four private detectives from Kalwa in the district.

Thane police had also arrested Rajni Pandit last month who is said to be India's first female private detective in this case.
