Super Bowl scores fewest TV viewers since 2009

The Super Bowl itself was seen by 103.4 million people, down 7 percent from the 2017 game.

"This Is Us" came nowhere near the massive heights it reached in its post-Super Bowl LII timeslot on Sunday, but the NBC drama still managed to handily top Tuesday night in the key demo.

Versus the show's season averages, "This Is Us" is up 16.7 million persons, or 162 percent, in total viewers (26.976 vs. 10.299 million), and 232 percent in 18-49 (9.3 vs. 2.8). Super Bowl 52 is the first National Football League championship game since 2009 to fall behind that episode in the rankings. By adding in the out-of-home viewership, NBC said the Super Bowl pulled in a Total Audience Delivery of 118.2 million viewers. "The Big Bang Theory", CBS, 14.7 million; "Young Sheldon", CBS, 12.92 million; "State of the Union", Fox News, 11.72 million; "State of the Union Analysis", Fox News, 10.51 million; "State of the Union Preview", Fox News, 9.95 million; "Blue Bloods", CBS, 9.32 million; "Mom", CBS, 9.11 million.
