Blizzard announce new rewards for Battle for Azeroth preorders

Some 13 years after it originally released in 2004, World of Warcraft continues to release new expansions.

Players who buy the expansion today can begin recruiting four of the new Allied Races - two for each faction. More Allied Races are coming in the future, though these have yet to be officially announced. Horde players can unlock the Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne Elves, while the Alliance gains access to Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves.

Blizzard has announced that they have started to accept pre-orders for the upcoming Battle for Azeroth expansion.

The preorder page for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is now live.

However, just because the Allied Races are now available doesn't mean they're accessible to everyone. The latest of these, Battle for Azeroth, is coming this summer.

They'll also be granted a level-110 character boost, allowing them to jump right to exploring and experiencing the new regions of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, and (should they purchase the Digital Deluxe edition) a cache of in-game bonuses for various Blizzard titles.

Battle for Azeroth itself is due for release "on or before September 21, 2018", according to Blizzard.

With the pre-purchase of Battle for Azeroth players also get a free level-110 boost, which should help in unlocking those additional Allied Races.
