Review of Star Wars: The Last Jedi

"'I wanted to tell a slightly different story: As Rey finds Luke on the island, maybe she stumbles into these caves and upon the X-wing, rather than seeing it from a distance".

And I don't know, I was 10 years old when Return of the Jedi came out. The previous episodes have shown Luke Skywalker urging Anakin Skywalker to fulfill his destiny-and which he ultimately did.

Captain Phasma, the chromium plated leader of the First Order's Stormtroopers, was The Force Awakens' surprise breakout supervillain; she gleamed cold and fierce against Kilo Ren's gloomy, emo anti-charm.

"The Last Jedi" arrived in theaters last weekend, it has been plagued with negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. In the meantime, we get the usual space battles in which an entire fleet of Star Destroyers apparently carries fewer fighters than a World War II-era aircraft carrier.

"So I nearly had to think of Luke as another character".

"This big walled city and the battering ram that the Romans were building, to build up, I just remember how terrifying that battering ram was".

"This is the next generation of Star Wars, so I nearly had to think of another character. but I had to do what Rian wanted me to do because it serves the story well". In the original trilogy we got that. The storm of criticisms and even a petition to take this film out of the official canon have been laughingly thrown about since the release of The Last Jedi. Books, temples and the Jedi will end, but the Force between the dark and the light will go on. I feel as if this struggle helped contribute to the unexpected atmosphere of the film.

New films in the marketplace that Star Wars: The Last Jedi beat out on Friday include Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which made $12.5 million.

The eighth Star Wars movie has three movies - Pitch Perfect, Jumanji and The Greatest Showman - to compete against at the box office.

Mark Hamill, who portrayed Skywalker since the very beginning of the franchise, said to the director, Rian Johnson, that Luke's demise didn't make sense and he wasn't a big fan of it. "That meant he has to believe he's doing the right thing by removing the Jedi from the equation". Johnson and Hamill are just like any other Star Wars fan-passionate and stubborn when it comes to their Luke.
