First MAMMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN Trailer Arrives

Later in the trailer, Sophie also says that she has "never felt closer" to Donna.

Immediately, Mamma Mia! fans took to Twitter, where many expressed their outrage over the decision to kill off Streep's character.

Fans expecting for a breezy teaser were surprised by the anxious face of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) as she welcomes her mother's friends Rosie (Julie Walters) and Tanya (Christine Baranski) in their island home.

Some huge promotion worldwide for Croatia and the island of Vis after the first trailer was released for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, the sequel to the Broadway musical turned blockbuster starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. Now, Sophie announces news of her pregnancy with the background score, "I Have A Dream".

Through a series of flashbacks featuring Lily James' character as young Donna, who grows up to be Sophie's mother essayed by Streep. Young Sam will be played by Jeremy Irvine ('War Horse'), while young Bill is Josh Dylan ('Allied') and young Harry is Hugh Skinner ('Kill Your Friends').

Donna is only mentioned in past tense and Sophie's husband Jay (Dominic Cooper) isn't mentioned at all. Besides the obvious (this year was just too insane, admit it!), 2018 has an influx of good flicks that we can't wait to watch.

Reprising their roles from "Mamma Mia!". Cher also made an appearance in the trailer.
